I particularly enjoy completing specially commissioned pieces of work. These can feature people's houses, family and pets or a particular workplace and its staff. I have also created specific images used as unique gifts for birthdays, anniversaries and graduation celebrations. For example, recently I was asked to paint a picture as a wedding anniversary present that featured the restaurant where the couple had first met 30 years ago. I produce the image showing the couple standing outside the riverside restaurant and, for good measure, featured their, now grown up children, waving at them from the other side of the river - just to give it a quirky touch! Another of my commissions involved creating a scene depicting all of the favourite haunts of a University student who was about to graduate. With the help of pictures and anecdotes about funny situations that had arisen whilst at University I was able to create a really wonderful, lasting memory of their academic life. By using photographs and a knowledge of the individuals concerned I can effectively produce a picture that provides a truly personal unique gift. I do not profess to be a portrait artist so my figures only have a suggestion of the characteristics of people to be depicted, but they can usually recognise themselves!

Although I endeavour to produce as many commissions as possible, I can only accept a limited number of requests. This is due to the overwhelming demand. If I do accept your commission request, a six month waiting list is not uncommon.
